This is Sydnie, our first grandchild. She is now 10 months old and she occupies much of our attention. As I think about planting churches, I want to see more churches that will be relevant to my kids and grandchildren. Western society is moving further away from Christ. We desperately need more churches to reach the emerging generations.

Nothing like holding that first grandchild. When I first held our daughter, I was afraid she might break, and also confronted with the thought I might really screw up her life. Upon holding our first grandchild, I was simply overwhelmed with the reality of how fast time goes by...and concerned at what kind of world she would be facing as an adult and parent.
You're right...looking into the faces of my 10 grandchildren is a sobering reminder of the desperate need for more authentic churches and "renewal" in our present ones. Thanks, Glenn, for your work and commitment to those goals.
